Portables and Lake of he Woods

I’ve never been to Lake of the Woods. Do many people drive out on their own and use their portables? If so, where do they drive on and where do they go?

ProV Al, there are alot of people that use portables out there. It all depends on where you want to fish but I always use the road by the Wigwam. You have to pay the road access fee to Adrains but the road is always well maintained. Adrains is the place to get shinners also.

Not too many of the resorts in the Baudette area have plowed roads. Adrians and Morris Point are two that do. We go out of Morris Point but bring ATV’s and snowmoniles to pull out our portables as we fish where they do not usually plow. Of course freedom to travel on ice is always affected by heavy snow like todays.
