I am fairly new to plastics. Most of my experiance has been flyins in Canada using live bait. If you were going to buy 4-6 different colors and several types, which ones would you concentrate on? I am also thinking of trying the river along with my Canadian trips.

The “fab five” will cover ya most anywhere.

    Chart pepper
    Oystershell
    Firecracker/char
    Purple/char
    pro-blue

For Canada however, I do like & make sure I have plenty of white on hand.

Dean Dean Dean… That list is all wrong.

    pro-blue
    pro-blue
    pro-blue
    pro-blue
    pro-blue

    That’s better

Kidding aside, Dean’s advice sounds spot on

Canada stained water colors will be quite a bit different than Canada clear water colors.

In stained/tea colored water conditions don’t go without chart. orange core. That color has been incredible for me on my last couple trips.

Along with Chart. Orange Core add white, chart. pepper, and purple chart. and you’ll have a good start.

Welcome to the site rdmstr. All the colors mentioned so far are very good colors. My go to color has always been Electric Blue with pearl tail. Good luck.
