IDO member Swede IL – Jim Cowan of rural Galesburg – passed unexpectedly Monday night.

Thought I should let the IDO community know. I know he made some friends through IDO and on our walleye trips to P4/5 and P10.

Jim was a damn good walleye stick, a heck of a catfisher and deer, turkey and mushroom hunter, and, most of all, best friend who would do anything to help one of his buds.

He lived life to the fullest and will be missed by many.

    Here’s to you Jim Boze.

RIP Swede. There should be an IDO getting started in heaven by now with members we have lost the last few years.

I had the honor of sharing a boat one day with “The Sweede”,and certainly a day I will never forget. One of the best days of lousy fishing I ever had,and didnt bother him a bit. What a character!

RIP Sweede, & I am honored to have spent some time getting to know you!Condolences to family & friends.
