We had a shooting here where I work today! I just got home a bit ago.
A nurse’s aid was shot and killed in the parking lot at shift change. Apparently her ex came looking for her and killed her. The guy blocked her in, put 2-3 rounds in her, started walking away, then turned around and finished the clip of a 9mm Glock.
One of my coworkers was out having a smoke at the time it went down. I’m sure glad I quit smoking!
This poor gal had two kids and was working 2 jobs to make it.
We were locked down until after 6:00. This took place about 20 ft from my truck! Thank the Lord I wasn’t heading out at that time! I’m home but my truck isn’t, as it is part of the crime scene. They have a bunch of evidence under, around and on my truck. The crime tape is tied to the drivers side mirror. It may be there all night.
Dang I’m glad I’m home.
