Next week our temps go into the 50’s and 60’s. The boat is all ready to go and plan on hitting the river to start our open water year

Only average, but it’s still going to feel great. Baby steps…baby steps.

My kids heard it was going to be in the 20’s this week and you would have thought Christmas was coming they were so excited.

I’m wearing shorts the first day it hits 40. That will feel like summer after what we have been through.

Just setting us for a cool summer.

With the depth of the frost and the amount of snow on the ground, we want a slow warm up or it will be flood time.

Looks like that will be the case according to the extended forecast.

Up here in the Northwoods, the Rhinelander TV meteorologist confirmed that the Dec.-Feb. period was the coldest ever breaking the old record from 1919 with an average of 4.7* for the day!!! Still waiting for this record to happen, but we have a period of time left… Breaking 40* record is somewhere near 120 days and with this last cold snap we were supposed to be getting close to that mark, so shorts at 40* is Hell yeah!!! And the last three days we broke the over night lows and day time low highs for just about every period!!! Can’t beat fun!!!
