    RWFD’s new fire/rescue boat was spotted at Everts today. The crew from Lake Assault brought the boat down from their factory in Superior, WI for a little testing before heading down to FDIC in Indianapolis to be their demo boat prior to being delivered to RWFD. This boat is 28′ long with a 9’6″ beam. It is an all welded aluminum hull with a hydraulic “landing craft” front ramp. It is powered by twin 225 Merc Varados which will push it almost 50mph. The inboard pump is rated for 1500gpm and is powered by a Chevy V8 and has a foam system and on board foam tank. For electronics is has two Lowrance HDS 12 touches with FLIR and radar. It is a beast!

    Actually caught a glimpse of that boat on my way home from SBC. It stood out in a big way in traffic!!!

    Looks fun!!

    IO bet it would make a great random AIS spray down boat.

    What a nice addition to the Mississippi.

    At 1500 GPM they should be able to wash all that Catfish slime off of BK.

    We live in a wonderful forward thinking society.

    If you go to the Lake Assault’s FaceBook page, they show the construction of this very same boat.

    That squirt gun will push the boat at 8kts and with a direct hit, send Jeff 30 feet outside of his boat. ‘Course we’ll have to prove that this summer.
