Hayward police are seeking information regarding a theft of a Muskies Inc. fishing boat that was stolen from the lot at Hayward Bait and Bottle Shop at the corner of Railroad Street and Beal Avenue overnight August 1-2. It was taken sometime between 8 p.m. Thursday Aug. 1 and 6 a.m Friday Aug. 2. The boat is a raffle prize for the 2013 Hayward Muskies Inc. fall fishing tournament. It is a 2013 Lund 1725 Pro Guide on a Shorelander Bunk trailer. There is a 60 HP EFI outboard motor mounted on the boat. The motor did not have a prop on it.
The boat is black in color with silver stripes. There is blue lettering stating 36th Annual Musky Tournament on the sides of it. Refer to attached photo.
“At this time it is not believed that the boat was removed by anybody within the organization,” police stated.
If anybody has any information regarding the boat please contact the Hayward Police Department at 715-634-8961.
Over on WC they’re reporting that the rig has been found, minus the motor and some accessories.

Watch eBay and Craig’s list for those motor parts. My nephews 15 HP Honda, almost new, was to stolen and the sheriff said outboards are being stolen left and right and being chopped up for parts.
Went out to my buddy’s boat on Round lake one morning. Trolling motor and battery were ripped out of his 15 yr old tiller. If youve spent anytime in Hayward you know to keep everything locked up at night.
Sounds like they have found it out near Phipps with the motor removed. SCUMBAGS!! Must be local talent!
Super Bowl – half time show – chop their arms off with a DULL rusty ax.
Agree!!! That is sad. Take something from someone else that worked hard to get. GROW UP Bad Guys
