I have some dings in my fiberglass boat to repair and I want to try to repair them myself to save on money. What is the best ‘kit’ to get to make the repairs? They are not big dings and do not compromise the performance or strength of the boat, the repairs are mainly for aesthetics.

Do you have a West Marine in your area? They have marine specific kits and sometimes good advice. Fiberglassics.com has a section dedicated to fiberglass restoration and repair. These guys share info on everything fiberglass. Best of luck.
