Getting ready to start tying walleye crawler harness for the summer. I’ve typically used Berkley Trilene XT to tie my harness/bait rigs. Wondering what everyone prefers for line?

I have had very good luck with 12 to 14-pound Berkley Vanish.
I tried 10-pound and seemed to get bit off by northerns pretty regularly. Almost never get bit off with the 12-pound.
February 5, 2013 at 4:09 am #1138192I’ve tested just about every line out there and found Seaguar Red Label Fluro to be the most durable. 15 lb for harnesses and the same line in 6 lb for rigs.

February 5, 2013 at 1:22 pm #1138240I use 14# SpiderWire Stealth down to a 6′ Seaguar Fluorocarbon 6# leader. Works great!

Seaguar Red Label Fluro
X2
And for snaggy areas such as rivers or for pulling around submerged timber, I prefer the Seaguar Abrasix.
