Looking for a couple 10 or 10.5 ft. trolling rods. What do IDO members recommend? They will be used pulling planer boards with cranks & spinners.

I would look into the st.croix wild river (wc106mmf2). I use mine from pulling boards, leadcore and long line trolling. Yoiu might want to take a look at the new eyecon trolling rods out.
February 10, 2012 at 6:40 pm #1037566Take a look at the Cabela’s Fish Eagle 2 trolling rods up to 12′ @ $99.95. They have spiral guides that help keep the reel from floppin’ over in the holder.

Model Length Power Action
TLA106M2 10’6″ Medium Medium FastBest all around trolling rod I have ever used, we use them for lead core , flat line with braid or mono and they rock
February 10, 2012 at 9:04 pm #1037625I agree with Ben on the Bass Pro Shop line. For the money they can’t be beat. I run all 8’6 models for my planer board rods and run 7’6 & 8’6 for my 3 way w/braid rods. Also keep an eye out because they put them on sale alot and you can save even more $
February 10, 2012 at 10:09 pm #1037653Get yourself a couple 2 piece (fiberglass) 9-10 1/2′ rods and you’ll be just fine without spending a ton of money….
