Good eats around Xcel Center?

    my wife and myself are heading up to a concert thursday night,any place around the Xcel to get a good burger or something? maybe walking distance to xcel..thanks.

    Not exactly walking distance, but Shamrocks is by far the best burger place on 7th.

    McGoverns is great food just down the block from it

    Tom Reid’s, like most places in that area are average but acceptable.
    Sorry, if you want something above average I would go to the StPaul Grill.

    Mancinni’s Char House on 7th! go and get a nice thick steak beforehand!

    cossettas has the best pizza/any other italian food u can get! kitty corner from the excel and 2 spots west….u won’t regret it! or go to great waters brewery by the childrens museum if u want some good beer…

    McGovern’s for the burger but if you have any appreciation for Italian food, get over to Cosetta’s. You won’t regret that move and these two places are as close as you’ll get to the X.

    These would be my two picks. If you want a sports bar feel then go to Tom Reed’s.

    Depending on what you are looking for there are several good choices:

    Mickey’s diner for the greasy spoon experience
    Cossettas for pizza or Itialian.
    Mancinis as mentiones
    St. Paul Grill for a fancy dinner

    If you like Italian you can’t go wrong with this recommendation. Good food!

    Ate at Burger Moes last night fist time. Excellent burgers. Lots of cool beers on tap as well. Wife and I loved it. Across street and down half block from McGoverns.

    Burger Moes good, Eagle Street good, Keys on Robert good.

    I really like the patio at the Liffey. Fish and chips or a great rueben hits the spot!
