    Tip of the day! Just hit it don’t swerve. I swerved to keep a turkey from coming through my windshield! BAD PLAN! Always hit the dang thing! I know better and the wife and I talk about it all the time! I’m ok just hurt my pride!

    yeah its easy to say but when you have things in your face its hard not to react!! glad your okay!! looks like you took quite the ride into the ditch/rock wall…..

    Glad you’re ok! I think that is the difference between collision and comprehensive if I recall correctly, did the same with a deer.

    Last year one flew right into my side mirror on my car. It knocked the mirror off, and I was just glad it didn’t come through the side window.

    Golly Bejebus! That would really scare the the spirit out of me. Glad you made it out okay to tell the tale. I’ve had my winter ride into the ditch and it was just a patch of black ice from a trip back from ice fishing when the road was just fine for ways then a straight shot of highway proved to be the most dangerous spot.

    I just seen a smashed turkey on the highway just a few days ago too.

    Many times instinct takes over and one try’s to miss it before they can think about it if it’s close before one sees it.

    Looks similar to my neices truck out in Idaho. She swerved to avoid a dead black cow on the road at night that somebody else had hit. She rolled about 3 times last week and has all kinds of new sore spots but nothing major. Good thing for seat belts.

    Glad your ok Tim. You’ll have some aches and pains for a while I’m sure.

    I’m betting you’ll take up turkey hunting now. I started deer hunting after hitting one with my truck several years ago. It started as revenge and now it’s another passion.
