loopers and coho

While I myself have not been to the shore yet to fish, many of my good “northern” friends are fishing almost daily. The French and Lester rivers have been giving up some loopers and coho. The Two Harbors breakwater and adjecent Lake Superior waters are giving up fish as well. The boat ramps at Two Harbors are free of ice. For the next monthe and a half things will simply get better and better. Just about everything used for bait/lures are getting the grab on fish….some days the bait works well and yet another day solid food is to their liking. Regardless of food preferences, this is a good time of year and the fishing can be wild. As the saying “been there, done that” I am just a bit miffed that this year our spring cabin runs are on hold. My first trip will be in June, unless I can pinch in a weekend without Ma. There’s some very fine fishing to be had at this time of year up there!
