I go to school in mankato and was just wondering where the best spots would be to try for crappies or bluegills from shore during this time of year. Any ideas?

Buckmasters bridge on Madison can be good, albeit a popular place. Also, the northwest side of Lake Frances by Elysian can be good, too.

Fishing pier at West Jeff. Lagoons at Tetonka, Shields creek, frontage road on Rays lake, small bay on the west end of Frances (near carpenters Pt.) off of the gravel road(powerlines).
Those are a few off the top of my head. Might not be real good yet until the water warms a little, but still should be able to find a few. Good luck.ktapperPosts: 15June 3, 2009 at 2:34 am #781155Quote:
