Ice is getting better still some spotty areas. Was on french last five days, Walleyes are hitting very well monday night six of us caught 30 walleyes, 10 dinks most in the 15 to 16 range hand full of 20 one 25″ fishing 21′ crappie minnows and glow jigs. Drove 4wheeler out yesterday. Had a consistant 8″ then hit a 4″ spot while trying to pull out a 7×14 house. Pulled the house back to shore until the weekend. Caught one muskie about 13lbs on fathead.

Thanks for the timely report. I was thinking of possibly hitting French and MAdison this weekend! Anyway, unfortunately I do not own a four wheeler or sled yet, so walking is my only game. How far from the SE public Access on French is good water. I usually fish away from the crowds no matter where I go if at all possible. If you like you can send a private if it is top secret lol!
SO you were fishing for crappies and caught walleye? Or just going small with your presentation?
