    I took a drive around the Faribault area lakes today. I didn’t fish, but here is what I saw.

    Cannon- 10-15 houses

    Cedar – 20

    Hunts 15

    French- 35+

    Shields 30+

    Mazaska 10

    Kelly- Dudley 3

    Fox 5

    Circle 1

    I don’t have ice thickness or anything, but I thought I would share what I saw, in acase any of you where planning to head over to “my lakes” LOL

    I spent the day on Madison Lake. There was 6 to 8 inches of ice, good and clear.

    I caught over 30 walleye and one crappie. All the walleyes were right on the bottom in 20+ feet of water just East of the “Narrows”. I used a small chart. Jigging Rap dressed with a fat-head head.. and a pink/white Walleye Willospoon in small size tipped with a “head” also. The walleyes would not take the full live minnow, It had to be “jigged and worked” to interest them. The walleyes were small, no keepers! Fun day though…

    Hey Hawger,

    Now how fair is that pre fishing.(ha ha)

    So Hawger do you think its worth stopping by the bait store by tetonka and getting dace minnows for this Sat’s big event.
