From a person that does not know. Are the buoys place by the dnr or local resort owners or local fisherman? Its been many, many years that I fish with my parnets by one of the reef for perch. Being very small all I can remember is seeing the big rocks all over.

There are some resort bouys but they just mark the channels into the private harbors.October 8, 2013 at 8:58 pm #1199205already ? seems WAY early..(like at least 3 weeks) or am I way off ???
October 8, 2013 at 9:01 pm #1199206Right on time. Typically off for Oct full moon.
Speaking of buoys. The DNR also does some fall netting about this time of year. So keep an eye out for those markers and never run you boat in between them!

October 8, 2013 at 10:43 pm #1199221I believe it is the county that does the buoy’s. there are two retired sheriff deputy’s and they put a working party together with county prisoners that are on good behavior.

The Lakemaster chip seems to have the bouys pretty well located.
Me, I just follow my old tracks.October 12, 2013 at 1:49 pm #1199893Quote:

Shouldn’t you be in Dinkytown? Are you fishing at all this weekend?
