Mille lacs basin beast!

    My buddy Sam landed this beast on sat when we were out on the pond. 2lb test and a macho minnow! Right in the lips!
    I have to say this is a first for me Way to go Sammy!! Has anyone else had this experience??

    that must have been one heck of a fight! was there disappointment when you discovered it wasn’t a pike/walleye/musky/ or anything other than a carp?!

    I don’t think I’ve ever seen a carp so dark it’s kind of pretty as far as carp go

    We knew it was a carp. That was the second one we had on that day which blows my mind. There was large suspended schools of them swimming around the area we were in. At first we were thinking high flyers,boy were we wrong

    i’ve never seen a carp come out of mille lacs, that beast would have surpsised the @!*# out of me! huge fish, nice catch

    That’s AWESOME! You can fill the bucket with just one fish

    I have seen some monsters on Mille Lacs before in shallow but never heard of one caught through the ice.
