Spent the weekend on Leech in a sleeper with Acorn Hill in the Pine Point / Goose Island area. Conditions were tough 30 below early Friday morning and wind and snow that afternoon, not much accomplished on Friday. Saturday was cold but sunny with no wind and we fared better. We did very little fishing out of the sleeper house used it mostly as base camp and went out in portables. Cleaned 4 Walleye and 25 or so Perch Saturday night and had a good fish fry on the ice. Bigger Perch came on spoons with minnow heads, smaller Perch on waxies, even caught a couple big Tulibee as well. Fished mostly 12 to 16 feet of water. Travel is still limited the roads are fine but off road is next to impossible. When you drill holes most times you will get some slush and flooding which makes everything more difficult. All in all had a good time can’t control the fish or the weather just if you have a good time.
