I know u fish muskies quite a bit(a lot more than me anyway)…………I have a question for you or anybody else for that matter. I’m planning on using Power Pro 80lb.(diameter of 18lb.) for musky. I usually use piano wire leaders, but was wondering if I really need one with this line? This is an excellant and really tough fishing line. Any suggestions, I may use a leader anyway but was thinking about not using one.

    thanks top dog

Hi Topdog, You can cut Power Pro easily with a knife, and Pike and Muskie teeth have edges and are not round, go with your standard wire leaders. I see no advantage with no leader and it is risky, am going up in the morning for three days, not all Musky fishing but will definitely put in some hours for them. good luck, let us know how you do if you go. Jack.

Thanks for the info Jack, after a 1000 casts I guess I’d hate to have one break off,(Don’t need to have it swimmin’ around with a bait in it’s mouth), any way good luck to you also…..topdog
