How’s the ice coming along? Is the north side starting to come loose yet?
Not sure about Leech but I was at Winnie over the weekend and its still locked up tight. If the snow wasnt so drifted on our shore I would still drive my truck out.

I typically open on Leech and fully anticipate having a long couple days of playing cribbage instead!

We planned on fishing the Grand Rapids area last weekend but couldn’t cause the ice auger wouldn’t start. Nobody is boating up there anytime in the near future.
We were just up there on friday and with the warm weather all of the snow should be gone by now but for the ice, there still was 24″ of ice. At the end of the day, it was getting to be really slushy. The ice wasn’t the greatest, patches of soft slushy ice about 5in down but all in all it’s going to be awhile. I’m crossing my fingers for opener, but she’s not looking favorable.
He guys need to help it along by making swiss cheese out of it with your augers.

You can watch the progression of ICE-OUT on this link to the DNR:
Many metro lakes started letting go over the weekend with the Strong Southerly winds and warm rain yesterday.
