    I have to post this pic of the 22″ 7lb ish bass I caught at a gravel pit near Ames last weekend. There is a thick weed edge all around the lake so I was angle casting a lipless frenzy along the edge and out into deeper water. This was the only bite i had in the 15 minutes of fishing before I had to call my dad to get over there with the camera. This fish absolutely ripped line off my spool two or three runs before i got him stuck in the weeds and eventually horsed him out.

    Ya that is a nice bass Andy. I fished a farm pond last weekend and got 7 between 2 and 4 pounds but nothing that size, nice Fish!
