Fished on the Fox River over the weekend. We managed about 75 fish from Friday afternoon till sunday at about 11. The wind was not to bad this weekend and the water clarity was around 5 feet. I was there last weekend and we had only about 2-4″ of clarity. We popped some big fish. We ended up with a 28, 26, and a 25″ for our biggest. Caught numerous fish in the 21-24″ class. We mainly verticle jigged with jigs in the 1/8 – 3/8 oz class and did some pulling of three ways but didnt get any to go doing that. We also casted crankbaits at dawn and dusk and into the night on some shallow flats and did very well with that. Best color of a jig was either gold or green and chartruse. As for crankbaits was a metallic silver and blue. Was a great weekend.
