Looking at taking a 4 day weekend in mid October. Walleyes and perch will be what are we’re after. Wondering about places to stay at, doesn’t seem to be much for lodging in the area? Also any general tips on fishing out there would be appreciated!

    Thanks!

We always try to stay at the Galley Motel in Webster. Like you said, the options are few and other places we’ve tried in Webster have been pretty bad. Not that the Galley is fancy or anything. It’s always been clean and quiet at night and there’s an attached restaurant / bar which is everything we seem to need.

As for the fishing in October, the latest I’ve fished it is August so I’m of little help there.

We stay at Lynn lake lodge NW of town. Great clean accommodations reasonable prices full service bait. Look on the web. It is not on water but is one mile from Lynn 8 miles from waubay. Many lakes to choose from within 20 miles. We have never been disappointed with the accommodations.
