Broke Back Muskie-Round 2

Back on July 21st of this year I boated this muskie with a broken back. The first time I got this fish it ate at the power of the moon, rise that is. It ate a pearl white bait and it just happened to be the 21st of the month.

Fast forward to last night at moon rise, again the 21st of the month and again I was hucking that same pearl white bait. I should also note that I was hovering over GPS mark 313, which happens to be the EXACT same location I boated this fish in July. Two rod pumps and I got drilled, I was fishing alone so I had the net all ready to go in the back of the boat. When this fish came to the surface I could not believe it….it was Broke Back!! Pretty cool to boat the same fish in the same season, catch and release at its finest.

The first 2 photos are from July-
The 3rd photo is from last night-

In my defense, it was most likely a female sturgeon.

    Cool stuff Bob
I know how important your waypoints are!

After talking last week, I’m getting the impression that muskies are a little more precise in their “HOME” location than once thought?

    Way to stick em Bob

    44-46-

I honestly don’t remember what that fish bumped at in July. After the photo last night I just slid her back in the water and enjoyed a cold beer

Guess the broken back does not hinder her ability to hunt. Must make it easier to turn on the pearl bait I guess.
