Same pike 5 days apart.

    This 38.5 pike ate a sucker in the same spot 5 days apart. I wonder if I can get her one more time before ice -up?

    Curious…what kind of rig do you use from reel to hook for that type of pike fishing? And yep, she’s a beeeaautyy!

    Fish was caught both days using a live sucker with an EZ-Duzzit clip & go. Sunday the sucker was a 12″ and Fri. she ate a 16″ specimen. Both times the hook ends up in the corner of the mouth and easy to get out without harming the fish one bit.

    I had a weird experience like that once. A nice pike ~ 8 LP’s broke free and took my Rapala with him. Later that week I caught the fish and I was able to retrieve my lure which was just lip hooked. This likely explained why he could still feed.
