I got a last minute kitchen pass today, so I shot out of Edgewater for a couple of hours for some Perch. The lake was nice, waves 2′ or less, but the wind was blowing out of the South at about 20mph. I tried the West corner of the Governent Wall in about 27′ of water. I caught about 6 Perch, but only 2 of them were keepers (9″). I moved over to the light house and tried for a while, but the water coming out of the Cuyahoga was pretty stained. I didn’t even get a bite. I made the run to the East end of the breakwall and anchored about 50′ out from the end in about 30′ of water. I caught about 35 perch here using Emerald Shiners on Crappie rigs and 1/4 ounce Buckshot spoons tipped with the Emaralds. I managed to get 20 nice fish (9 1/2″ – 11″). Most of larger fish came off the spoons. Not to bad a day considering I was swinging 180 degrees in the wind.
