I was thinking about upgrading my electronics on my Alumcraft boat. I currently have Lowrance and if I switch to Humminbird I think I will have to drill new holes for the transducer. What do you do guys use to patch the old screw holes?

When I ran a Crestliner, I ran into this exact situation. An inexpensive way to do this would be a healthy dose of marine sealant, followed by a transducer mounting board installed over the old holes. The board will cost you a couple of new holes, but then you’ll be able to mount, and adjust, the new transducer without making additional holes in the transom.
$20 for the board and $10 for the sealant and you’re done.
