Hook Sharpener

What is everyones experience with hook sharpeners? Who makes your favorite and where is it sold?

Great question Big B, as I was going down the posts I saw yours down the list and was hoping to learn more about hook sharpeners. I use a standard hook file on all points, and will check every hook point I buy before it goes into the box. Does anyone use an electric sharpener that works great. Please let us know if you do. I don’t mind using my file, but am getting tired of taking all the time it takes. let’s hear of some good sharpeners. Jack..

I THINK I’VE TRIED ALMOST EVERY HOOK SHARPENER ON THE MARKET WITH VERY LIMITED SUCCESS! MOST OF THE POWERED ONES I’VE TRYED DON’T SHARPEN OR BREAK THE TIP OFF! SO IF SOMEONE KNOWS OF A GOOD ONE I TOO WOULD LIKE TO KNOW! WISH THIS ICE WOULD MELT I THINK MY HOOKS ARE GETTIN RUSTY!

I have’nt had good luck with the battery operated sharpeners, they just don’t seem to work well for me. I use a fine file, that seems to be the best for me.
