Hummingbirds

    I just ordered a Xpress X19 and it comes with 2 Hummingbirds on it a 998 and 788 I have always used Lowrance so does anybody know if these are good units?

    Those are exactly the same units I have on my Ranger and I love them.

    I have a 1198 and a 858 on my boat you will not be disappointed in the Birds. If your 998 has side view technology, I suggest doing your DD to learn how to interpet the screen. Its amazing seeing what you were missing with traditional 2d sonar. Congrats on the new boat.

    If the transducers are set up correctly, they are fantastic units.

    I have a 998 and and 858. Love them. Easy to use

    They are Junk – I’ll do you a favor and trade you my lowrance units for them

    I jumped ship from Lowrance to Humminbird and haven`t looked back.

    Actually I think that they are worthless,,

    But, I’ll let you give me a couple of bucks to dispose of them properly for you.

    Of cource shipping would not be included.

    Same here with the 510c I had. My first Lowrance was the x75 and it was great.

    Funny how Linda Colt became famous for going against the grain and taking care of the customer.

    Lowrance today is better than they were five years ago.

    I switched from lowrance to birds. I am very happy with my birds! The only down side was learning how to use the the humminbird software, but when you learn it I feel that is much easier to run then the lowrance.
