Does anybody know where i can get jigs like deans magnum jigs in bulk unpainted? Im thinking of pouring my own this winter as well and wonder if a jig mold has to be altered to fit these large hooks? I can settle with ball head but would prefer the teardrop style.
I am sure Dean would hook you up with bulk and unpainted if you were to ask him. Give him a call. 
When I want a longer shank on my jigs I just use the next size bigger hook that the mold calls for that size jig, works well for me on the both the teardrop style jig mold and the new wire keeper jig mold.
So far NO modifying the mold needed to use the bigger hook. 
Eagle Claw offers some sizes of the long shanked jig hooks but not a lot of places carry them. The #574 Eagle Claw hook is 3/8″ longer than it’s 570 counterpart in 2/0, 3/0, and 4/0 and are available at Netcraft. Barlows lists the hooks too.
