During Deer Season?

I’m thinking of going SW MN for a rooster day trip Sunday, but now having second thoughts. With it being deer opener, I don’t think it would be safe for me, and especially my dog, to be trouncing around on public hunting land… Even though it’s mostly grassland I would be hunting. Thinking I will call it off. What is your guys’ opinions on it? What do you think about going mid-week next week- still a bad idea? Thanks in advance
