I know there’s a lot of other things to be doing this time of year. In fact, I’ve yet to make it out chasing Rudy’s! But, I just can’t give it up. Made it out to a local lake today with a buddy. Bite has been pretty consistent the last 2 weeks. 50-52 deg surface temp, 12-16fow. 1/16oz fireball jig and fathead. Tried shiners and those didn’t produce much. Great day to be on the water, but I think it may have been the finale.

nice! I don’t put mine away until thanksgiving but I’m on P4. I made it out to a local lake with my pooch today and it was gorgeous out. pure glass out there on our way in and an awesome sunset too! I tried a lot of different presentations but every one of them got my striped bass! no way i can really complain about fall fishing……ever
October 30, 2021 at 9:46 pm #2071072I would keep mine out all year but ice fishing is my favorite season and i can’t do both. i do not have a garage either so to those that say never, I envy you kind of.

My boat doesn’t fit in the garage…I just drain the water and knock the snow off of it.
October 31, 2021 at 3:59 pm #2071160I used to try fishing in the fall but can’t seem to catch anything. I just never could figure it out. I have done well once december rolls around so I’ll wait and try in another month if we don’t have good ice yet.
