I fish the Mississippi walleye season 90% of the time, so maybe a dumb question, but the walleye season is done 2/25 (a Monday) per the web site. How is the season end defined? It’s been awhile but the WI seasons I recall from a decade ago seemed to be “first sat of month” until month end or something similar. Not sure it makes a difference, but this seems to make more sense to me.

I meant 2/25 = Sunday not, Monday. Is it last Sunday of the month?

What ever the date is, at midnight. Normally last or second to last Sunday of February.

Used to mean time to switch to panfish. Now it just means the biggest walleye fishing of the year is here.
