It’s getting closer

This rut is near, seen a number of small bucks chasing each other around this afternoon. As well as harassing some doe grunting chasing cutting them off…. Was some intense activity to bad Mr big didn’t show.

I have seen little to no activity here in Iowa . Just your normal community scrapes rubs along field edges an major travel routes . But it is soon pick up here also with the cooler temps. That will definitely help put them on there feet. Come on November !

Heading up to North Center Minnesota this weekend to put the final touches on the deer woods. I see they have Snow forcasted for both Sat. and Sun. that should get the rut moving along. With a little later opener this season the timing shoud be about right to hit the rut well this year.

If my eyes weren’t fooling me. I saw some chasing activity going on last weekend. Or it just could have been a buck running with his nose to the ground? Had a friend rattle in a 150 and put it down Monday!
