Is it anything comparable to Trempealeau or Buffalo Cty for age structure and QDMA practices?
Wish I had a BBD there and not with short brow tines but nice long pop cans for brow tines, is it a likely place to look?
September 23, 2011 at 3:23 am #110724Nope Big bucks know where the trempeleau county line is and they always stay to the west of it Jackson county varies alot from the west to the east. The eastern end is pine barrens, swamps, and wolves. The Western end is in the drifless area and produces good deer depending on what coulee you’re hunting in. Like everywhere, some areas are brown and down others are letting young bucks mature.

We have land just south of Jackson County in Northern Monroe county that is pretty good. I would think SW or W Jackson county would be better
