There’s a story and pictures on Facebook where a former CO found it floating took a couple pictures and re-released the dead musky. No where near 73, but if I remember it would have broken the world record by a couple inches.

Chomps…no, that is from last year. Not the same as the recent finding this year. The rumored 73″ fish was most likely a recently released 57″. Furthermore, not likely a world record. Fish would have to be kept and certified weight over 69 lbs.

Reports of a another 73” washed up.
My sources say this was the musky that ate all the walleyes in Mille Lacs lake.

Just looked into it a bit and seems like the photo I shared that was sent to me this morning was the same photo used in 2016 73” dead muskie post. I just woke up. sleeping

This is definitely a hoax and has been spread. That fish wasn’t over 71″ at most, it’s just held out a long ways from that guy’s body.
