Fished saturday 7:30-3:30 dragging lindys and jigs, caught around 15 short eyes and 1 sauger just shy of 15″ that I kept to make a sandwich, no legal eyes. Fished 15-25 ft and caught fish at all depths.
Sheepshead were every were we fished and seemed to leave leeches alone more than crawlers. Marked a lot of larger fish in the 18-20 foot range in some spots but couldn’t entice them to bite. Could have been rough fish. Talked to a few guys that were fishing the benefit tourney and a few in the box was the overall consensus.
All in all the weather was beautiful! Calm in the morning and manageable wind and waves by the time we left. Watching the rain now cleaning the boat and organizing tackle for a week of fishing in central Sconnie. How did everyone else fair?
