Crappie cribs for Mille lacs

I was thinking about the success crappie cribs have had in lakes such as Red lake.

I do believe that if this were to be done by us fisherman that we could establish such a great population of baitfish and panfish that would be a win for everyone. I’m sure we could get an army of volunteers to make this happen.

What would it take to get the process started?

Correct me if I’m wrong, but typically arent cribs used in otherwise featureless waters?

They’ve had tremendous success with em in the southern reservoirs for reasons as stated above, simply because there isn’t anything there.

With the different types of structure, including weed beds, that Mille Lacs currently has are cribs even necessary? Isn’t this playing mother nature again? I say let it be.

Put them in. Would love to see a huge crappie population on Mille lac. Really surprised this has not come up in any of the many discussions on the lake. Heck, throw some cats in there to.
