Ice is very different all over the lake. Anywhere from 6-12 inches depending where you were. I was out Friday afternoon and there were about 20+ shacks on the west side with a few by the island and some west of city beach. I was over by the pump house with a 4 other shacks and 2 that were on buckets. Pretty impressive due to the 25 MPH winds we had. Managed 14 yellows from 4:15 until 5:30. Guys next to me were there quite a while and had about 30 or so. They were also there the night before and had over 35 yellows and 1 keeper walleye. Not too many walleyes this year from what I’ve been hearing. We were fishing 10-11ft. of water. About 50/50 on whole minnows on a slip bobber or minnow head on a northland jigging spoon. Had very mild temps and a little rain on Sat. night, so don’t know what it did to the ice.

    Good Luck and be careful.
