    My name is Marty and I am a flatheader. New to the site, just wanted to introduce myself. Checked out some of the pictures and you guys have some big flatheads up there! I fish the Fox River in NE Illinois which is a small shallow tributary to the Illinois River. Can’t compete with the fish I’m seeing here, but the game is still the same; a lot of time on the water in hopes of big fish. Look forward to communicating with everyone here.

    Yes, I know Shawn well. Brian I’ve actually spoken to you on the phone as well, maybe a year ago or so. Thanks for the warm welcome. I’m as big a flathead nerd as your going to find. Spend way too much time out there, but it’s what I love to do.

    I haven’t done a ton of fishing either. The bank fishing is old and even though my nephew has a boat, I am finally starting to plan so I can get one and actually get out enough to not have regrets every year.
