I spent the weekend pulling cranks across the tops of wingdams and caught several channels all between 1-3 pounds and all fat females that haven’t spawned yet. the hits were unreal, lots of fun!

We got one also. Sure can tell right away when a cat is on. They run a lot more than a walleye does. A cat will run at you or this way or that. A walleye tends to hit the bait and just stop. Then starts shaking its head. Surprised they dont make a stink bait shaped like a crankbait.

Last Saturday Marty got an 8lb and one that broke him off both down on Spring Lake by the channel. That one that broke him off had to have been huge. We never got a look at it. Both fish were on cranks.

believe it or not, I have seen a crankbait with provisions for an injectable scent. One problem with old age, CRS kicks in without notice- – – jerr
