Fish any outside bends. They are usually the best shore spots

The slough in by shelter house 3 at Goose Island, make sure to read what time they close the gate. I think it is a round 10:00pm.
The Onalaska spill way is also good for channel cats after the spawn.
The dam at Genoa, fish at the point of the wall and down a little where the rock shoreline and sand meets.

    Hope this helps!

The French Island spillway is good for flats and channels from shore, and you can catch all your bluegills right there.

fished yesterday, only managed 5 cats all small under 12″ had a few sheeps and 1 legal eye, using cut bait and crawlers. I was fishing off of wingdams, but never did find a “honey hole” tried the minn slough area without much luck, but none the less better than working. there seemed to be doing some fishing on the south end of desoto bay, might be a spot to try for cats from shore.
