I fished a couple miles down river from the Petenwell dam today. Found some nice crappies hiding in the laydowns. Caught a nice meal of these 10-12 inchers. Main weapon was just a minnow under a slip bobber. After the pleasure idiots came out I decided to start trolling for walleye or white bass. I couldn’t anchor due to all the waves from the pleasure people. I pulled a storm thundercrank in the channel for about an hour and managed to catch about ten short walleyes. No white bass to speak which is odd. Water temp was a little above 80. The warden stopped me on the water to check out my boat and asked if the pleasure idiots were buzzing me which I thought was nice pretty cool.
