They were backed up for miles this morning. Seems they put this in place and failed to actually tell anyone. Trucks were parked on the freeway waiting for things to get sorted out.

We have a fly-in scheduled for August. Hopefully things will have settled down well before then.

Lotta people go there in June. Hard to predict whether they will be able to go at this point.

So much for testing my brand new custom lake trout rod next week. It was going to be our first time ever fishing lakers.

My trip isnt until 6/19, hope its all cleared up by then. If its not, we will probably have bigger issues to worry about shock

Have an RABC app in for June. Will be interesting to see if they process it. Unlikely. It won’t stop my trip (BWCA border lakes), I just won’t plan on landing the boat on Canadian soil. Will take my chances fishing on their side of the lake.

That’s if they don’t find a way to shut down the whole BWCA too.

My July Lac Seul trip was already cancelled but I’m worried about BWCA as mentioned above. Got a late May/early June trip scheduled and it’s kind of my “light at the end of the tunnel” right now.

Hopefully next summer’s Lac Seul trip is safe shock

This is all based on what you classify as nonessential travel.

Cool thought. I wonder what it would take to get my fishing trip classified as “essential travel”???

Good year to get to know local lakes. This virus is not going away in the next few weeks or months the health pros are saying, it is just starting to ramp up. Stay home and protect others from non-essential travel plans such as fishing etc. Its no fun but time to get serious boys. Stay safe

X3 – We may need to sneak across and hope to get detained returning. I’d hate it if I had to self quarantine for a extra 14 days on a lake in Canada
