BULLHEADS

    I know this sounds wierd.. but im curious. Has anyone here ever ice fished for Bullheads? I would like to get a few bullheads this winter maybe. How do you go apon catching some Yellow bellies..? What bait? What depth? Structure.. Etc,.. Could you give some tips… Thanks

    I’m going to guess and say not too many people have if any.
    But the people of Ido never cease to surprise me. )

    I’m not sure what area in SW Minnesota you’re in but there’s some pretty good ponds and rivers that have bullies in them.

    The only time I’ve ever seen them in numbers is when a lake is freezing out.

    I would assume you could fish for them just like eelpout. Run a minnow close to the bottom.
