I’ve heard of bucks grouping up in the later part of summer and early fall. Few years ago watched two decent 8 points hanging together and thought that was a bachelor group. Then this morning I watched somewhere between 6 to 9 different bucks cross my field. One much older heavy buck. 4 to 6 mid to small sized 8s and then a few smaller ones. Would of never guessed there was that many bucks of that size around here. Not sure if I’ll ever see that again.

Similar to what I have here. The a couple little bucks hangin with a few does. All the 2-4 year of bucks hanging together and different location if does. The biggest bucks have been isolated ir in pairs and only moving around much between midnight and 4 am

I have a group of 6 bucks in my backyard every night in the metro. Two big boys and the others are a year or two old.

I got this photo in august 2020, all descent bucks hanging out. Only time I’ve seen that many of that size together. Cool pic though.

This is why opening weekend of archery is the best chance you will have at a specific deer. They are focused on food and water instead of fighting and banging. They will be doing the same thing day after day. Cameras positioned over beans and water holes have led to the taking of a lot of september bucks.

They get very close to me on a regular basis Mike. Even when I am ridding on the mower they will walk with in about 10 feet of me.

Carter, those are City deer so the only real worry they have are cars/trucks. No hunting allowed.

Here’s a photo of six bucks and one doe in the beans this year. We have probably 10-12 different bucks this year on cams.

Wow. Great photos. Just got my 1st camera set out this afternoon on the food plot. Plot is just starting to pop up. Now is just a waiting game.
