    Its going to be close!!!

Was up at Eagle Point and most of the bays are ice free. Ice pack on the main lake is going quick!

    Think Spring!!!!

serious question, with a decent population of cisco in Big Sandy, why are the fish so small?

    MY Thoughts exactly!!!!!!

I have been fishing on this lake for 20 years. I was a big fan of the slot limit because prior all people kept was 11 to 13 walleyes. Within 2 years of hard water patrolling I did see a size difference. Then we had the flood… That flood killed a major population of tullies (Major food source). The population then just sat dormant for a few years. Last couple winters we started to catch small tullies and I am excited!!! If this doesn’t boom the size of the walleyes I think I will just give up! On the other hand the smallmouth population is rising quickly!

I’ve waited for this lake to be the next mille lacs for 20 years…

Going back even further (35 years) we fished Big Sandy some during the 80s. Never remember it for walleye size.
