Hill lake

Hey guys,

Heading up to hill lake in about 3 weeks. I go up thee about once a year for a week, and have never fished the lake. been a little scraed. everyone has always told me that it’s a difficult lake to fish for Pike and Walleye. I was thinking maybe with some help if anyone fishes it I would give it a shot.
Anyoe fish it ? odds are I’ll be fishing blind, no sonar, because I’ll have to rent a boat and I’m not counting on having a sonar on it, I think I have a few ideas, but not sure.

Are you talking about Hill Lake in Hil City? I’ve fished it a few times and did not have success for walleyes but did catch a few bass and pike out of the weed lines. I admit I don’t fish lakes that often, more of a river guy. That lake has alot of contour and deep water next to HWY.200 Good Luck and stop into Harrys and have on for me. Doug
