Spent a second straight Friday on lower part of Pool 10 fishing bass and crappies from just north of Clayton to Guttenberg dam. Wow.. talk about tough. Wing dams, slop, weeds, mats, points, rip-rap the list goes on and nothing to show for both days. The water has (maybe) 6″ of visibility which did not help but the water always seems to be turbid there. Caught a few 12″ bass, 1 very skinny stressed out 14″ smallie but actually caught 1 nice crappie (the first in a few few YEARS of trying hard for them with artificial baits). If you are a lower Pool 10 guy who sees this and smiles because you have it figured out I envy you. The rest of us see a fisheree that is in serious trouble due to poor water quality, potentail overfishing and just plain lack of quality fish. Sorry, but won’t be back in a while.
